The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a UK government scheme designed to reduce fuel poverty and lower carbon emissions. It offers funding for energy-saving upgrades like insulation, boiler replacements, and renewable energy solutions.
To benefit from ECO, your property must need energy efficiency improvements, Use our Energy performance checker to see if your property qualifies. You must either own the property or have landlord permission, including for social housing.
Eligibility for ECO4 focuses on low-income and vulnerable households. If you receive any of the benefits listed benefits you qualify. Or if you have a total household annual income below £31,000 you qualify, savings do not matter. Alternativley if someone in the household suffers from medical condition that is long term or severe you qualify.
If you don't receive any of the benefits listed above, you can also qualify for funding through your local authority. This is known as Local Authority Flex (LA Flex). Councils choose to opt into LA Flex.
This is the total annual income for the household for every person over the age of 18. Savings or bonds do not count towards total income.
The measures we install depends on how you currently heat your home. Typcially we install a heating upgrade and insualtion measure. This could be a boiler upgrade and loft insualtion.

If you qualify for a grant, you can submit an application, and we will pass your details to an approved installation partner. They will arrange a survey of your home to determine how best to use the funding.
